Kabusa Böcker - Sverige (2009)
In 2003 - 2 years after Claus Beck-Nielsens death - Das Beckwerk and Gyldendal published the book Claus Beck-Nielsen (1963-2001) - en biografi [Claus Beck-Nielsen (1963-2001): A Biography], which takes its starting point in the last of Claus Beck-Nielsens many actions or works:
One day in December 2000, author Claus Beck-Nielsen took the distinctive "Beck-" out of his name; he left his apartment, wife and child and went out onto the street as Claus Nielsen, a man without a registration number. It became the beginning of a personal and familial tragedy.
The book, told as a classic biography, follows Claus Nielsens 2 months on the street in Copenhagen and tells Claus Beck-Nielsens private tragedy through journals, letters and newspaper articles, among other things.
The book has been the object of much debate all over Scandinavia and was published in Norwegian translation in 2006 by the prestigious publishing house Oktober.
