I SAMMENBRUDDETS TJENESTE - (IN SERVICE OF THE BREAKDOWN)
a dialogue between Das Beckwerk (art terrorist) & Mikkel Bolt (art theorist)
GYLDENDAL PUBLISHERS & DAS BECKWERK, 23. October 2008
Throughout 3 years (2005-2008) art terrorist Das Beckwerk and art theorist Mikkel Bolt was engaged in a formalised dialogue:
2-3 days a year - under surveillance of the web magazine
Turbulens.net, represented by Peder Holm-Pedersen - Beckwerk & Bolt have met to evaluate the last years world-wide activities of Das Beckwerk, to reflect it in a historic context, to plan the future revolution or event and to define the relation between theory & praxis:
In the end its all a question of how we live each minute of our daily lives: The questions are: Why did Bolt choose to live in the far out provincial city of Hjørring? And why does Bolt have a dog? What is the relation between the dog and the Revolution? And Hjørring! Why are there no handles on the doors in the department where Das Beckwerk works and sleeps? Why has Das Beckwerk cut out the personal life? Can you have sex (or revolution) in the grave?
Beckwerk & Bolt never ever met outside the formalised dialogues. No small talk - not even the tiniest "hej, hvodden går det så?" - has ever occurred.
