"When will you publish the novel about the Mission Iran?"
Within the last years and especially after the release of The Sovereign - the second part of the grand trilogy - a lot of people have asked us this question.
And since the almost revolutionary events in Iran in June 2009 the question has been the more relevant, as the story about our 2006-attempt to catalyze a new revolution in Iran, might help the average world citizen understand what is actually going on in Iran. So once again:
When will we publish the novel about Mission Iran?
Of course this novel - which will close the grand trilogy that opened in 2005 with "The Suicide Mission", followed by "the Sovereign" in 2008 - must be written and published.
The problem is that in Das Beckwerk we no longer have a novelist employed.
But as the novel must be and will be written, we have decided to give the rest of the world the chance to write the best possible novel.
Why not?
Like the Suicide Mission, the Iran novel must be based on existing materials - newspaper articles, weblogs, diaries, photos, video footage, letters, e-mail correspondences, documents etc. - and this material can be made accessible for each and every world citizen. And as the Iran novel is part of a parallel world history every world citizen should be a relevant and possible author of the book.
Alas! Das Beckwerk invites you to write the third part of the trilogy. On the following pages you will find all the relevant materials, and if you think something is missing, please contact us on info@dasbeckwerk.com and we will do what we can to provide the missing link.
As soon as the script is completed we will hand it over to Gyldendal Publishers, and they will decide whether your version is the authoritative "Mission Iran".
